If you are behind someone and accelerate to put yourself in a better position to avoid a traffic jam up and then let off the gas at all, you will get the brakes slammed on you unless you disengage the system first by stepping on the brake. I mean slammed on. It’s for bad drivers IMO. Of course, I have plenty of friends who love it too. 😁😁😁fishlessman said:lousubcap said:@pgprescott - totally agree. I got a rental car recently and I enjoy using the non adaptive CC on the Interstates. Turned on the CC and it was in the adaptive mode. I took the first exit. Fortunately (and unusual) the owner's manual was in the car. Turned off the adaptive part and moved on.
i like the adaptive, easy to override with the gas pedal, set it for a car length in good highway traffic, 2 car lengths in crash and go traffic. wish it worked side to side, an 18 wheeler tried to push me off a bridge today changing into my lanePlenty of cars will help side to side as well. Hell these things practically drive themselves. Oh wait, some do that too. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😜 -
Would’ve been more believable if there were 12 emojis.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

I just let the 510hp engage automatically when changing into the open lane,. No reason to do risky lane changes with a 6000 pound cinderblockpgprescott said:

Not sure what qualifies as risky but someone on the forum has wrecked several vehicles in the past few years.fishlessman said:

6.5 Creed Ammo. Been hard to find what my rifle likes. Bought the max allowed, a whopping 4 boxes

The price has soared the past couple of years. It’s also hard to find 140 grain hunting type ammo. Plenty of 129 or 130 grain out there.ColbyLang said:6.5 Creed Ammo. Been hard to find what my rifle likes. Bought the max allowed, a whopping 4 boxes -
One benefit of having a bunch of kids is when I take them to the range I can buy multiple boxes of ammo because the cool guy behind the counter assumes that they're all of age.ColbyLang said:6.5 Creed Ammo. My next rifle will be a 6.5mm Creedmoor. I want a precision rifle in my arsenal.ColbyLang said:6.5 Creed Ammo. Been hard to find what my rifle likes. Bought the max allowed, a whopping 4 boxes
My father has always wanted a .257 Roberts in a wood-stocked, w/ cheekpiece, blued rifle. Think Winchester Model 70, pre-1963. I told him he needs to give up on that one and go to the 6.5.
I already have the brass, bullets, dies, etc. for both rounds. One of us needs to buy a rifle so I can craft some boolits!Clinton, Iowa -
Try to find the bullets! I bought the dies etc just before the great ammo drought.
-
Get some Lapua 6.5 bullets if you can find them. Most accurate I ever used for long range work. Powder Valley here in Kansas stocks them in 100 round & 1000 round boxes! -
I see Scheels has Hornady and other .264 bullets in stock. I have ordered from them a lot.Clinton, Iowa

”specialty” rds are getting more difficult to source.LBGE, 28” BS, Weber Kettle, HCI 7.8 SE Texas -
Nice to know but deer can’t be seen past 200 yards in the swamps and pine savanna’s around here. Plus the gun range’s longest lane nearby is 250 yards. Add to that I admit that others are better shots. I just wanted a reasonably accurate gun , effective on white tails and hogs, with a relatively low recoil.

Shooting 135gr Berger hunting ammo. $2 a shot. Lapua brass, so I’m saving emptiesGulfcoastguy said:

@ColbyLang
this conversation may have swayed my next build. Hard to source ammo may not be worth the squeeze. Was going to do a 6.5 Grendel…maybe I’ll sit on this for now.LBGE, 28” BS, Weber Kettle, HCI 7.8 SE Texas
