    Anyone have a good hack for removing the netting from a boneless turkey breast roast? Putting the rub on over it sort of made the net one with the roast and so between that and how tender it was, by the time I got it off the roast looked like a raccoon had gotten to it. Tasted great but presentation was terrible.
    FoodWishes just did a "jamaican jerk turkey roast" that I intend to try.  He cut the netting completely off, rubbed it inside and out, and then with just 3 lengths of string tied it back together into almost the identical shape.

    Did my first SRF bone in ham today with the Peach Pomegranate glaze and recipe they have on their site. It was awesome and won’t be my last.

    @CTMike - I have been a fan of Basque's Sugar Maple lump for several years.  Can't ship across the border (last I looked) so I find a supplier (latest in the mid Adirondacks of NYS) and bring in 3 bags.  
    I find when lit it does have a more sweet smell than Rockwood.  But I could be fooling myself.

    Next time, I'll just drink the bourbon. It may have been lost in the mix.

    Yup. Other recipes called for *1* TBSP of bourbon. I thought I was being bold!

     That measure of a liqueur may add something, but the  bourbon will be reserved for the cook in the future.

    We got so full we did not do the General Tso but the rest was super delicious and fun. 






    Super fun time had by all. The ramen was dope. Happy Thanksgiving all.
    Never mind the mastery of the broth, chili oil, chashu, XLB, alkaline noodles, etc. ... this is how you know someone is serious about ramen

    I showed this to my son.  He said that it looks almost as good as Panda Express.  =)
