EzraBrooks said:Anyone have a good hack for removing the netting from a boneless turkey breast roast? Putting the rub on over it sort of made the net one with the roast and so between that and how tender it was, by the time I got it off the roast looked like a raccoon had gotten to it. Tasted great but presentation was terrible.___________

Followed Raichlen's directions, basted with maple syrup butter mixture, and smoked on the XL over Basque Canadian Sugar Maple Lump as a nod to our Canadian daughter-in-law (our son and his family are down visiting from Ottawa).
My wife said "you will cook the turkey like this every time." In the future I think I will forgo the cayenne in the rub as the skin was a little hot for some.

@CTMike - I have been a fan of Basque's Sugar Maple lump for several years. Can't ship across the border (last I looked) so I find a supplier (latest in the mid Adirondacks of NYS) and bring in 3 bags.
I find when lit it does have a more sweet smell than Rockwood. But I could be fooling myself.
Happy Thanksgiving.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. -

That measure of a liqueur may add something, but the bourbon will be reserved for the cook in the future.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
