Actually, John, there are a couple more, more revealing ingredients to this rub which is made in England. I just thought I would lighten up the forum a tad tonight.

Reads more like a massage oil than a rub but I have had a few evening cocktails.  I await the reveal.

This is usually were @Lit and @Focker come in and start taking uncalled for personal jabs.  You know, the ones they think are funny and every other person on the planet is like, "What the **** is wrong with you!?"

Personal jabs are always uncalled for. Funny comebacks are good entertainment.

Ron - What rub has oils? Never heard of that.

Edit: you're talking essential oils, not cooking rub. Ok

Not unheard of to use oil as a binder to hold a rub onto your thing.

Alright Ron, time to come clean man!  Was this some kind of rub you set on fire as part of a seance in Dunlap or an English brine for turkey?

OK...besides the ingredients of olive oil, cinnamon oil, clove oil, copal, frankincense and myrrh it contains beeswax and camauba wax. The product is called ALFIE SHINE...a " resin enriched 100% natural hard wax polish" made in England for both wood and metal hand tools which is applied sparingly by "rubbing" hence a "rub"! B)

hmmm, that never crossed my mind, but I won't be trying it that way since it is meant to be a protective coating to seal both metal and wooden hand tools.  So my thinking is it might not hold up to the penetration of a sharp knife blade. Besides who knows how sanitary the ingredients were to start with and the blending shop/factory/whereever it was made there in Merry Old England!
