Gas pump nozzles used to be sized for diesel, but are not anymore. Putting diesel in non diesel vehicles happens more than you would think. My buddy runs a towing company and towed a CRV with 480 miles today that filled up with diesel by mistake.LBGE St. Louis MO

I am a bit dubious. Looks like the first picture is a shed or garage and one of the "cans" is a generator. The 2nd picture looks like fire stated up front, back end does not look very damaged.

My father-in-law did this to a rental years ago while we were on a family trip in Tuscany. Put gas into a diesel wagon just as we were spending the day touring wineries. The funniest thing was seeing pretty much the entire population of the tiny village we were staying in come to the centre square to see why the car was being towed away. We still have a video of this momentous event.

I did end up doing my routine fill up a couple days ago. Price was normal for 2021. Line was longer than normal, but I chalk it up to circumstance. All other gas stations I passed the rest of the way home were fairly empty. Sorry you Southerns have to deal with this.
