Well look at it this way - at least you don't owe upwards of $400M with no apparent means to pay the debt.  I don't know what that is, but I have a hard time characterizing it as "smart".

Yep.  And write off the $70k you've been spending on... hair cuts.

I don’t think it said cuts, probably just the cost of lots of spray and swirling.  A custom formed and airbrushed hair helmet might be more cost effective in the long run.  He should get with George Lucas’ guys, they do a good job for the movies.

I did - carefully.  It's for some kind of app about food delivery or something.  It's obviously spam.

I did, and my first thought is that the GOP seems determined to lose the vote from women in some form of historic fashion this November.

I’m not sure fanning the flames is possible on a burn down thread like this.

Kind of funny how uncreative it is as well, not to mention, what has she done ?  She’s on her way in.  I think it’s just meant to be a poke in the eye, could’ve made one for Melania or Ivanka while they’re at it.

Without question.  Their whole re-election argument at this point appears to be "vote for us to keep pissing off the libtards!"

I wonder if getting the USC in the bag will make all of his 'religious' supporters decide that they don't need him anymore? Mightn't he want to slow play this a little?

Nope. Supposedly the legislature and senate write and vote on laws, the president signs them or not, and the SC rules on the constitutionality of the law if asked. In theory at least so they need all three.

I posted this in July 2017, and everyone poo-poo'd it.  I'm going to post it again (fortunately the first two links still work):

I promised myself not to come back to this thread anymore, but several things have popped up that are really starting to add up. This will take about a half-hour of your time (if you read the well-documented report in Paragraph 2) but I think it is well worth it. I will end it with a prediction.

    1) The only tax return we have of DJT's showed that he lost $988M in one year, of other people's money. That's a chunk of change, don't care who you are. How would you raise any more money with that kind of an out-the-gate deficit? Somehow, trump has done that.

    2) Heard this on PBS Newshour a few nights ago but can't find the exact clip. In looking for it, I found this article (published in March) which mirrors the same information (and goes into further detail). Guess who owns a large amount of the trump properties?
    https://2016electioninvestigation.com/2017/03/16/towers-full-of-oligarchs-and-their-dirty-money/

    3) And the interview that pulled it all together, for me, below. I'd not heard of the Magnitsky Act before, put into place in 2012. The Magnitsky Act goes after oligarchs who have been committing atrocities and human rights abuses in service of the Putin apparatus; if they are added to "the list" by the Act, their overseas investments and accounts are frozen. If nothing else, please watch this, twelve minutes very well spent; note what the russian operatives in the US are trying to do, both above and below the table via the White House, and the Congress:
    http://www.cnn.com/videos/world/2017/07/16/bill-browder-full-interview-gps.cnn

You probably can see where I'm going with this. My prediction (hopefully (if true) exposed when Special Counsel Meuller releases his team's findings):
Trump lost a LOT of other people's money. He was desperate. Somehow, sometime Putin became familiar with the situation, and offered the donald a deal: a way for trump to collect dollars (unwittingly as a "safe haven") and donald may "owe a favor" to Putin, maybe, in the future. The Magnitsky Act is threatening the oligarchy's wealth in the US, and Putin and friends are desperate to get it repealed.
I have held six Security clearances, including several Top Secret. One thing that is examined in your background thoroughly is any debts, past or present, giving an adversary a lever in which to obtain what he or she wants. Almost a billion, owed to a group who enprisons, shoots and poisons their enemies, is a heck of a lever. One final note: In 2012 when the Act was voted into law, Mr. Putin retaliated by cutting off all US adoptions of Russian children. And what is everyone saying the "short, 20-minute" meeting D Jr. had with the Russians was about? Russian adoptions.

I'm not looking to get into another big argument, just some things that are lining up too perfectly, and I wanted my prediction down in writing. We'll see.

EDIT 1, 20 July '17: Trump meets a second time during/after a dinner with Putin, with only the russian's interpreter in the room.

EDIT 2, also 20 July '17: Trump's lawyers are looking to undercut Mueller's ability to continue his team's investigations, AND exploring his ability to pardon his colleagues, family members, and even himself.

EDIT 3, 28 July '17: Trump stops the CIA from supplying arms to the Syrian rebels, a move very much desired by Putin: http://link.defensenews.com/click/1...MGEzNTgzM2Y/5758848c498edb7fd6731cf1B63fd8a76

EDIT 4, 29 July '17: Bill Browder reiterates his claims (above to CNN) to Congress under oath:  http://www.cnn.com/videos/world/2017/07/27/browder-putin-russia-todd-dnt-tsr.cnn

EDIT 5, 31 July '17: WaPo reports that DT Jr's official statement about his meeting with Russian operatives in trump Tower was dictated by DT himself.

EDIT 6, 8 Aug '17: Robert Reich reposted this article, written last summer. It brings up a few more things:  http://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/trump-putin-yes-it-s-really-a-thing

A pandemic seems as good a time as any to cut 10 million people off of their health insurance.  I'm going to invest in park bench manufacturing.

I think he wants her in for his challenge to the election.  I don’t think he sees beyond that.

It strikes me as giving too much credit that any significant number of supporters are so torn by this that they’re voting for him solely for Roe v Wade, for instance and would walk away from him otherwise.

With all of the clown show performances over the past several years the poll numbers don't move.  I would guess that there are less than 5% of the voting population that remains undecided by now.
