Ready for firing the fire on Thursday. Love a brisket cook. Most fun you can have with a BGE. (10.9 lbs after 11.6 going in-great butcher job.)

See ya on the other side-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
Can't wait for everyone to kick it off today. I'm picking up a brisky tomorrow and will likely do a Sat-Sun cook.

SRF has briskets back and they are 15% off right now, but their website is crashing.Large and Small BGECentral, IL

Here's the SRF link as mentioned by @saluki2007:

I got thru but it did take several attempts. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
The Heartbrand Akaushi brisket just before BP wrap:

After slice and dice:
Flat on the right-point the two split sections.
This was a real treat-every bit as rich as the SRF black and a better in-house butcher prep job. Very little excess trimming required.
Better to be lucky than good any day!
Happy Brisket Day to all.

@lousubcap that looks great! Way to bring it home for NBD.New Orleans LA

@lousubcap
Gotta tell you, beautiful results right there. That is how it should look.
Woukd love to turn one in like that.
I am now down to two, both SRF Black, I might be putting on another this weekend.
Thank you for posting what brisket ought to be.
What was your IT when you pulled that beaut? Or did you even check?

I always check as I am not proficient enough the with the jiggle criteria to call the finish. It was anywhere from 202-206*F in the flat and the feel was there. Never check the point.
BTW- @YukonRon you may (or not) want to scroll up a few posts as SRF has a brisket sale for today only. The link is there. Always willing to help you with your great forum term of wallet genocide.
Clear your calendar and hit up the virtual zoom session tomorrow night. Definitely entertaining.

@lousubcap - that looks amazing!! Well done. I have only made a few attempts at brisket and nothing spectacular yet. I blame it on the cow, because no way could it be the cook

Enjoy!Memphis, TN

@lousubcap
I will if I can for the zoom tomorrow night.
I have already checked out the SRF deal, got two on the way. Suzy will not be real happy upon arrival, but she shall not challenge once in from the egg.
Better to ask to be forgiven, right? If I blame you, she gives me a pass....I got options....
