A friend asked if I was wearing a mask when in public.  I was, but not anymore.

Like so many states utard relaxed the rules, and tonight I drove around Ogden. Every single restaurant and bar (that were still in business) were packed. Having part of the population, or the states, or the cities, follow social distancing, and the rest not, is like having a peeing section in the kiddie pool. By the end of the year everyone in the country will have been exposed (my personal prediction), and I guess the general population have already decided that losing between 1 and 10% of our population is worth it, to defend our "freedoms", and go to our favorite bars/restaurants.

I can also see how our economy being destroyed won't help, either.  We're going to have a huge wave of new homeless, and state/city employees/retirees losing their salaries/pensions, adding to the problem.

What's the answer?  Hell if I know.
The masks (surgical ones at least) mostly protect other people from you.  To me that’s just the right thing to do right now.  But I can understand your frustration with how other folks in the community aren’t following guidelines or even just common sense right now.

That video is horrible.  I’ve seen responses from Bill Pullman and others about it, not happy it’s been sullied by him.

Why not write and give an actual speech like that instead of promoting yourself like some comic book hero version of yourself?  Do the work, don’t just try on someone else’s cape for a photo shoot.

So, correct me if I am wrong, the OP posted he had an issue and found a way to recover from said issue.

    Others commented wanting to help.

OP then challenges those who tried to help to a brisket cook off, seeing if his method is better than those who tried to help.

OP claims to be superior, due to the frequency of brisket cooks.

Entertainment does truly present itself in a myriad of possibilities.

This is not one. I stopped after page 2.

It is my own fault I read that far into this post.

Sorry I do not have a insta pot rescue for this dilema.

    https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/18/politics/donald-trump-hydroxychloroquine-coronavirus/index.html

Trump said he hadn't been exposed, he started taking the drug because he had heard from frontline responders who sent him letters saying they were taking it preventatively.

"Here's my evidence: I get a lot of positive calls about it," Trump said.
The President he said he doesn't know if it works, but claimed "if it doesn't, you're not going to get sick and die."

The US Food and Drug Administration has warned against the use of hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine to treat the novel coronavirus and said they should only be used in hospitals or clinical trials because they can kill or cause serious side effects. These include serious heart rhythm problems in Covid-19 patients treated with the drugs, especially when they are combined with the antibiotic azithromycin or other medications that can affect the heart.
CNN's chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta wrote in 2018 that Trump has a common form of heart disease, based on the results of his physical.

I heard someone saying that they bought cases of tonic water with quinine because it kills coronavirus. I asked them if they also stocked up on vodka since the tonic water will be better used for cocktails than some snake oil cure.

I am pretty sure that Cheeto is not taking the drug hydroxychloroquine  as this is just another diversion, but I could be wrong.

The odd part is that a possible negative reaction to the meds are 100’s of times more likely than him getting the Rona. Especially with his known heart and weight issues. He’s taking a way bigger risk taking these meds than Being careful of the Rona. All this so he doesn't have to wear a mask. I guess he’s afraid it will mess up that glorious golden mane of his.

I am not sure what is worse, Frank.  Deciding to take it or lying about taking it.  Either option is pretty nuts.

Sadly there are some smart racists out there. They are the scary ones. The flag waving hood wearers don’t worry me. They are out in the open, easy to spot, and generally fairly simple folks. Their agenda is straight forward and They tend to yell it to anyone who will listen. It’s the ones embedded in the machine that are doing all the damage.
