The paper goods aisle at Walmart this morning. So bare they could paint the shelving. Folks that sat back and chastised others for stocking up can enjoy wiping their ass with leaves. Watch out for poison ivy 😉
They had some toilet paper last night but not much. The cherries are like 2 aisles down if you need any.
One of my phobias is running out of toilet paper. This is standard for our household of two pre virus.

Also, I hate Walmart so I try to minimize the number of trips I have to make there.

I’m not so worried about the run on TP. Maybe about some other staples.

I grew up, as many people in many countries/cultures, washing my ass with water and a hand down there. So I’ve got a backup plan =)
So people are hoarding staples too?

you can't run from it, you can't contain it, you MAY be able to slow it down a bit...

but until some drug company creates a vaccine to make a few billion of the world, this is the hand we are dealt..

    have fun and be happy!

keeping in mind, this is a VIRUS (not a bacterial infection)

You mean pet rocks haven’t been cool lately?   Don’t answer loudly, I don’t want my pet to hear you.

This from Robert Reich's website (the original WSJ article is behind a paywall):

Today the Federal Reserve announced it would inject more than $1.5 trillion into Wall Street to mitigate the economic fallout from the coronavirus outbreak. Yes, you heard that right: 1,500,000,000,000 dollars sent to Wall Street in a split second.

I am so sick and tired of the establishment telling us what we can’t afford. If we can find over a trillion dollars for Wall Street in a heartbeat, we can find the money to cancel student debt, provide universal healthcare for all, and enact a Green New Deal. America has socialism for the rich, harsh capitalism for everyone else.

    (emphasis mine)

And this, just ONE DAY after the senate refused to consider a bill for 14 days of paid emergency sick leave:  https://www.huffpost.com/entry/senate-gop-blocks-emergency-paid-sick-leave-legislation-from-moving-forward_n_5e691016c5b68d61645ebff9?fbclid=IwAR2WcgIYQDfJ1rHOyZto8IvurBeoAgYiBo9NyvxDtI5MdBr9-gKj7jgD2d8

Unless you get it and they won’t let you back in the states. Maybe that’s not a bad thing come to think about it.

I’m at the grocery store now, and it’s ridiculous. Shelves have been picked clean of water, chicken, iced tea, milk, masa , flour.

Riots about to break out at checkout. 23 lines, all stacked several deep.

They fortunately had enough beer and eggs, so  I’m good ... for now.

I went on my usual Thurs commissary run, and the place was packed, although there was TP, wipes, and sanitizer (I didn't buy any).

My daughter’s school is closed until the 25th (one week of that was already scheduled as spring break, so not as draconian as it sounds), and 3/25-4/10 (at least) they’ll be doing virtual school.

MD closed all public schools between 3/16-3/27.

That counts as a vegetable right?  I’ve got a full meat freezer and tons of rice, grits, and dried beans, and if wine takes care of my veggies, I’m good.

I'm not seeking out hand sanitizer to combat the coronavirus, I'm seeking it out because of the TP shortage.   =)

You would use your hand barehanded??? It's a lot easier to wash or dispose of a nitrile glove. Instead of TP stock up on these...
