SGH said:One other product that I have consistently had great luck across the board with is John Deere. Not only myself but my father and grandfather as well. It’s a given that nothing now is built like it was years ago. But even so, I have had good luck with the newer John Deere tractors and commercial cutters
Agree. My family are 3 generation farmers in the MS delta. They're motto is, "If it isn't green, don't bring it home.LGBE-1999, MBGE-2003, SBGE-2007

Good call! I've subscribed to Cook's Illustrated since, what, 2000? And watch ATK/Cook's Country often. Over half of the hand tool comparisons end up with an Oxo winner.DoubleEgger said:OXO kitchen products. I use and abuse their products daily. They are like a Timex. @SGH. I hate my john deere I just bought and hate my dealer even more. Unfortunately it was out of warranty...ran fine at the dealership used fornabiut 30-45 minutes tooling around.....brought it home ran 3 days and I now have an expensive green boulder in my yard (2003)...
Having to save money to make engine repairs...hydraulic pump failed, dash went out and have 2 flat tires.....only has 1k hrs on it.

Considered a John Deere tractor and ended up with a Case. Considered a John Deere Gator and bought a Kawasaki Mule. Still got a early 2000's John Deere gator that's on its 2nd engine and running like a champ. It doesn't go in reverse, the belt slips off every now and then and the seats are rotted out so you get wet ass if it rained last week, but it still runs.South of Nashville - BGE XL - Alfresco 42" ALXE - Alfresco Versa Burner - Sunbeam Microwave

This happens. I'm not boasting about it but its reality. Unfortunately.SonVolt said:Considered a John Deere tractor and ended up with a Case. Considered a John Deere Gator and bought a Kawasaki Mule. Great overall list sir, but I must disagree with this one.TrippleRipple said:.....Duluth Trading Co., d@mn near everything....
Duluth Trading makes great socks, and TV commercials, but their flannel shirts, and especially their underwear, suck!
I used to be able to count on good flannel shirts (XL-T) from the local farmer supply stores, but anymore the sleeves are at least four inches too short. LL Bean still make decent, correctly-sized flannels, but at $50+ apiece, they're going outside my (soon-to-be) retirement budget. Dammit."Hallelujah, Noel, be it Heaven or Hell,

Yep! Cooking, guitar, and coffee are my passions. I love Fenders and Gibsons, but the Gretsch blows my mind every time I plug-in. Same goes for the Klon. I would never buy one now because the prices are indefensible, but I got mine back when they were still being manufactured and paid a couple hundred -- money well-spent! I'm jealous of your 6136. Falcons are beauties.GrateEggspectations said:

And yeah, I agree with you, the combination of the Insomnia book and the coffee gear reads like a joke from a Farrely brothers movie. The truth is, they are less related than they seem. I'm obsessed with coffee, but I only have one cup per day at around 5-6 am. It doesn't mess with my sleep. That Insomnia book is gold if you have sleep issues, though. Can't recommend it enough.

That's an odd amp choice to run a fiddle through, but who can argue with Charlie Daniels... I'm a metal-head so they've always been my preferred line of amps. The Marshall is hot-rodded with an extra tube-driven gain stage and Jose SAT switch - it's also a beast.
