  • We had a 2010ish Subaru forester, somewhere around 120k it developed a oil leak that dripped on the manifold, used a quart of synthetic a week.  Bought a bmw 328x drive.. I forgot we had the Subaru :-)

Forgive my ignorance (I don't golf) but how does a golfer use a GPS unit?

Got to be for looking at hole layouts from the tee, calculating distance to the tee when you’re standing at your ball in the middle of the fairway.

I’m just guessing, though, since I’m not much of a golfer.  My game is a lot closer to “In the woods” than “Tiger Woods”.

I have not found anything better for small to medium dough mixing.  Pizza starter, pancakes etc.

I can’t say enough good things about Lexus and especially Henessey Lexus in Atlanta. The build quality is outstanding and the ride is hard to beat. The only thing that tops the car is the service. Because the wife schedules all of the service in advance, only one mechanic has ever touched the car. That’s worth the extra cash to me.

Distance to the green, distance around dogleg fairways, distance to creeks, out of bounds etc. Helps speed up play over having to look for sprinkler heads with yardage markers.
  • Just what @DoubleEgger said!  Really speeds up a round.

  • For me, there are a lot of products I like and am loyal too.  But to be honest, the ones I endorse to others I know most, are Webers and Big Green Eggs.

Your memory of the Subaru will be revived once you receive the bill for your first off-warranty BMW repair. Great cars, but there’s a reason you don’t see older ones on the road.

@GrateEggspectations I heard that, I think they wanted $4,500 to replace the cam cover seal or something like that and the Subaru was worth $7k.

  •  Honestly I know Subaru makes a great car, the year model we had just had a crap motor and I think there was a service bulletin about the leak, we were over on mileage and they would not do anything.
Believe me I grew up in Alaska I have seen Subaru Brats held together with spray foam and duct tape and plexiglass driving to town on a sheet of ice in -20 weather. Same for Toyota Tacoma.

  • Why not fix your car yourself? Most repairs are easy, and the harder ones have a YouTube video explaining it.

I do all my own work, in fact I did a repair on my wifes car a couple weeks back. Shop quote was $998 and change. My cost was $72 and 2 hours of my time.

I have a new subaru, and once the warranty is out it won't see the shop if something goes wrong.

  • I hear ya and do most my own repairs. I am slowly recalling that it was this whole big deal with a class action lawsuit against Subaru because of excessive oil use in the 2010 year range models.
Apparently piston oil rings were cracking or allowing too much oil by causing excessive oil consumption.
Protocol and we followed it was to take the car to the dealership they would change (for free) and measure the oil, then you drive it for 1200 miles, bring it back, they remeasure and determine if your car was burning to much oil.
It was but...... the dealer said the cam cover was also leaking so they would have to repair that first for some ridiculous amount of money, then retest the oil consumption to affirm that it was actually the rings.
At that point I could see it was going to be a battle for Subaru to stand behind their product I mean they had to be sued in order to admit their engines were burning to much oil. I think they said 1qt per 1,200 miles was “normal” what a joke.
I know when to cut bait. Also made a mental note to not buy Subaru and apparently blocked the details out of my memory!

Tabac shaving soap. Especially if you are a pubic and nether region shaver. Rather than bore you with words, I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Imagine this on your nether region.

The pictures says it all. Tabac is king. Your pubes will thank you.
You shave your sack with a safety razor or even a straight edge???? GHASP. Even nicks with an electric trimmer bleed like a lamb in a kosher slaughter house. I cannot imagine the damage with one of those.

Plus, I want to know how you shave your taint with a safety razor???? I just am not buying it.

X3 on Subarus.  I have never found someone who had a subaru who didn't love it.  Unless they bought it for the completely wrong reason.  In which case, shame on them.

Can you tell us what the right reasons are? I thought they are popular to show solidarity to the LBGTQ community???

One other product that I have consistently had great  luck across the board with is John Deere. Not only myself but my father and grandfather as well. It’s a given that nothing now is built like it was years ago. But even so, I have had good luck with the newer John Deere tractors and commercial cutters.

Technology isn't necessarily a bad thing.  Problem with JD is they don't let you fix it yourself.

OXO kitchen products. I use and abuse their products daily. They are like a Timex. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
