    Got my two 27" 4k displays set up, along with the USBC connected docking station, to my laptop... Used them with my work laptop yesterday as well. Looks like I might need to change the display parameters when switching to them each time, but that's pretty easy. Having the two external displays (so three total) is of much higher value to me.

    I'm sure you were on 1-90 aka the Thruway.  The state has been collecting on that road since built in the mid-1950's.  The toll part runs from the PA line eastward to Albany and then south to NYC and obviously the reverse.
    Too bad you had to use that one.  Further south there are other interstate (toll-free) options as I'm sure you are aware.  However, given the Niagara Falls stop I guess you were doomed.  Regardless, safe travels and enjoy your New England and beyond (if I recall right) road-trip.

    Yeah if I opted to avoid tolls, I think it added 2 hours.

    Seriously?  Didn’t know pex would work well for compressed air. Any idea on what a max PSI rating would be?

    As big/long as your shop is if you use pex you should consider whether the end of long runs would still be able to offer the volume of air you would need. Pressure drops could also be a problem.
    I'm sure there is a table out there in googleland that would show that sort of info.

    I did my shop air system per a model I found on the web.  You have to allow for some condensation/water drains, beside the normal pressure drop/pipe sizing.  I get a lot of water in the summer months that has to be drained off!

    Material is a very minor factor, it's diameter that is key. But I don't really know what size ranges pex is really available in - only size I'm familiar with is 1/2".

    Yes, where ever air cools, pressure drops, water will condense.  Water drains before point of use, or a refrigerated dryer (or regenerative desiccant bed) to lower the dewpoint.  Where you need dry air, for painting for example) get the refrigerated dryer or desiccant, otherwise manage with drains and live with a little water.

    Volume is a concern. If you're expecting your rig to provide "X" CFM at the far end of your shop if the pipe is too small it may only be able to deliver "0.5X" or some other fraction of CFM you need.
    Or it may not be a problem at all as I don't really know what your compressor outputs, what your needs/expectations/uses are, distances involved, etc. With a big rig like that one you may well be able to just run plastic straws duck taped together and still get the psi/cfm you want. :)
