How To Clean Your BBQ?!

Options
This seems to me to be a lot of work.  Opening up the vents and letting it burn for an hour or two, just one more reason to stay away from gas.....   https://www.womansworld.com/posts/how-to-clean-a-barbecue-grill-how-to-clean-a-grill-172040

I use the same secret when cleaning kettles, gas, or pellet grills that I use on Kamados: heat.  I use a weed burner on the other types of cookers and its done pretty quick.

I don't think anyone would cook BBQ if they had to do all that.

    How to do what?

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I just use the next fire to take care of the previous cook.  I will use a putty knife to knock off some larger residue (into the fire) but that's the extent of it.

I pick up the grate and drop it on the driveway to break off all of the big chunks.

I laughed. I had an old bbq pit and I did that to the expanded metal grate all the time.

I have a grill grate brush that I use just before I put the protein on, after letting it get up to temp. It gets rid of anything left over from the previous cook/session and it easy to do.

I need to clean inside the dome more often though. But that's also easy (people have different methods there, but all are easy).

I hitched mine to the back of the truck and took it to the car wash yesterday and blasted it inside and out.

Now I am heading to the store to get several cans of Pam to re-season.
