This seems to me to be a lot of work. Opening up the vents and letting it burn for an hour or two, just one more reason to stay away from gas..... https://www.womansworld.com/posts/how-to-clean-a-barbecue-grill-how-to-clean-a-grill-172040

I use the same secret when cleaning kettles, gas, or pellet grills that I use on Kamados: heat. I use a weed burner on the other types of cookers and its done pretty quick.

I just use the next fire to take care of the previous cook. I will use a putty knife to knock off some larger residue (into the fire) but that's the extent of it.

I pick up the grate and drop it on the driveway to break off all of the big chunks.

I have a grill grate brush that I use just before I put the protein on, after letting it get up to temp. It gets rid of anything left over from the previous cook/session and it easy to do.lousubcap said:I just use the next fire to take care of the previous cook. I need to clean inside the dome more often though. But that's also easy (people have different methods there, but all are easy).Large BGE with CGS Woo Ring, stone with stainless pan, Smokeware chimney cap, Kick Ash basket and Kick Ash can.Living free in the 603 (Pelham). -
