I volunteered to cook some ribs for a local woman's organization who's having a little reunion this afternoon.
9 spares on the XL rubbed in Bad Byron's and 8 racks of beef chucks rubbed in Cow Lick. Over Rockwood of course and using pecan chunks
Stay tuned for updates

Every time I see something like this, my first thought is “damn I should’ve bought an XL Egg!”.
Looking forward to it buddy. Enjoy the day."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

Looks like a great start and sure to be an impressive finish!

Important question: did you tell the ladies “Nice Racks”
when you put out the ribs?Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd. -
...and did you tell them you have an XL?Large Egg, PGS A40 gasser.

Good looking grub. I tried to like Bad Byron’s but it’s way too spicy for me and I like spicy food. I cut it this time 50/50 with brown sugar and used it in a pork loin and it was borderline inedible. I know a lot of people like it but it tastes like straight cayenne to me. Maybe I got a bad batch. The whole bottle went in the trash this time.

Update:
Beef ribs are getting thrown in a pan and foiled. They're pretty much done.
Spares are coming along nicely. Time to rotate

Looks like your cook is moving along nicely. Are you sure those are beef chuck ribs? They look like beef back ribs, especially due to how close to the bone they were cut. It's "Smokin Gal", not "Smoking Al".

I questioned that as well. They supplied the meat and the label called them "beef chuck riblets"smokingal said:Looks like your cook is moving along nicely. Are you sure those are beef chuck ribs? Signed, sealed and delivered. Get out there and volunteer. No better feeling in the world. FYI, the RTIC 145 is a beast. Still need a Cambro
