Bachelor for the week. What to do? Make a stilton cheese frittata.
So I couldn't score the hookers and blow, so I thought I might as well take advantage of the situation while SWMBO was in DC by at least eating all the stuff that I love and she hates.
I started off by walking through the house and farting. Wait, I do that anyway. Nevermind.
Next I opened a can of anchovies and ate them.
Hey, got some super-taster hated foods in the deep freeze for situations like this....broccoli. Check. Cauliflower, check.
Well, gotz to go to work. Wut?! She left her Audi Q5 keys. (thought those would be hidden for sure). Can't let the battery die on that sweet set of wheels. (drove it)
Hmmm....what if I made a frittata out of stilton cheese? What could possibly go wrong?
In the oven....this will hopefully be the foulest frittata ever made in the history of man....and I will love it. Or, maybe not.
No recipe because that's for chumps.
Can't wait.

Whew....this stuff smells foul. I love it. Had some extra batter so threw
in a ramekin.

there is about a quarter pound of roasted garlic in this pie....

Man, I am f*cked up right now. I would kill myself from lack of restraint if she were gone longer than 2 weeks.

Stinky cheese tastes good! Carry on foul brother.

Holy crap that is good! Note to self: more fish sauce next time.
I'm eating he ramekin right now, will take a pic of the pie when I get to it.

I’ve found ramekins to be somewhat tasteless. How are you preparing yours?😉
Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga -
This is so incredibly foul, I would say only the far edge of the bell curve of culinary normality would enjoy it. That said, I can't wait to wake up and chow down in the morning. I'm glad I threw the rind in the blender. It has that terroir of dirty sanchez next to a sewage treatment plant, but in a good way. You won't understand.

Ramekins are like white rice or tapioca. They take on whatever flavor you put on top of them.

New Orleans street smell. I understand.

Post count as you you must know is irrelevant. Content is. Post up great cooks and bust up JIC every chance you get! With you.

I'm supposed to go to Red Stick (Baton Rouge) tomorrow to help boil crawfish for the office there - some client appreciation party. I'm just not feeling it, especially since there's a 100% chance of rain.
So a couple of work buddies are swinging by in the morning to borrow my gear. They got 6 bags of crawfish, which is way too much even with good weather, and I think turnout will be low, so they're going to hook me up with a bag or two.
So, looks like a crawfish boil this weekend! Stilton in the boil? Now that would be foul.

Yeeeaaahhh.... OK point, this is from a few hours ago https://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1219099/ribs#latest
Does this count in you high esteemed opinion? Btw.. Did you post any original cooks today? I usually don't keep score but it seems you are....

Actually, since this had a crust, I concede it is actually more a quiche rather than a fritatta. Just wanted to keep the record straight. Less manly maybe, but I'm confident in my femininity.

Day 2, actually.

I have no idea what point you are trying to make. I’ve tried to contribute to this forum. And my opinion is no more important than yours. I did contribute to my brothers on the forum today with a unique recipe I hoped some might try. Not my own. But I have a couple I’ve contributed over the years. And I keep no score and feel sorry for you if you do.
I was having a little fun in my reply. Sorry you don’t know how to do the same.

@bgebrent sorry man, ageing parents stress.. nothing to talk about... I thought you were coming at at me... I'm an honest guy, I only say what I mean and sometimes... Oh hell most times I miss the jokes, if I were in a better place it would roll off my back.. If you were just giving me a hard time I apologize. I think you would agree that are many trolls here and I'm just trying to avoid them... I enjoy a good ribbing as much as the next guy.

So thought I'd share this. I experiment with stuff all the time and when I was making the matrix part of this pie, I thought, hell, what would happen if I put some xanthan gum in the mix? The concept was, it has no taste and if I could make the "batter" super thick, all the sh!t (veggies, garlic, etc) I put in there would get suspended in the high viscosity like fruit in pudding. But what would it change when it cooked?
So I added some and the batter came out really thick. Everything suspended like I thought it would.
After eating it, it didn't change the taste or texture one bit. So another trick under my belt!

I got home from work and pulled out a YUGE t-bone steak from the freezer. I'm going to save that until tomorrow. Maybe I'll actually cook it on the egg! Or maybe I'll eat it raw with stilton cheese. We shall see where the wind blows....
I found some freezer burned fries and threw them in the air fryer tonight. They tasted like freezer burned fries cooked in an air fryer. Learned something. Went straight into the trash.

And I was feeling all proud about adding a blend of cheeses to a frozen pizza tonight when I returned from the field.
Thursday is My Beautiful Wife's Birthday, so I will cook her favorite meal.
