Pics of your cooking area?

Guys I’m trying to get some ideas / pics things I didn’t think of I would like to incorporate within my upcoming repair to my outside area.
Thanks in advance.

...and you moved????
Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
Looking at those pictures, I've actually changed a lot since the . Roof over the egg and hard metal instead of that see through plastic over all of it.
My favorite part is the egg in the corner. Uses up all the otherwise dead space.

I don’t think you want to see a pic of my driveway. Eggs in nests and Blackstone wheeled out of the garage to play and returned afterwards.

DIY project 8 years ago and my first at anything like this, happy to say it still standing strong.

Any of you that have done a DIY area and have added an outdoor sink. How did you go about adding the plumbing? We are building our house and I was about 2 weeks late asking the builder about adding a full outdoor sink with drainage. They have already received all the permits and done the rough plumbing. Now I'm thinking I will have to go the route of adding one that drains into a 5gallon bucket hidden underneath somehow.

It's not too late for your contractor to run a drain and service lines to your outdoor kitchen.

I really Like That!! clean, simple no mortar

According to my builder after the conversation we just had it is. This isn't a custom home so my ability to change stuff isn't exactly limitless. It's really just a 1st world problem kinda thing. My outdoor kitchen will be on my covered back patio right outside my actual kitchen so I'm not gonna get too worked up about it. I have other alternatives that I am considering but just thought it would be nice to have full drainage and maybe both hot and cold water lines. Just figured it would be a lot cheaper to do at this stage rather than later.

We have a egg in the corner as well. I should probably move the XL there. I think there was a reason we arranged it like this, but I can’t recall what it was.

Thanks! I used landscape glue. And simple wood forms for the concrete countertop and shelves.

Drainage is always a problem because it's gravity dependent. If you use a sump pump system you can run your drain lines with any feed lines, and the drain lines can be much smaller diameter than they would normally be. I use this type of drainage all over in labs I have designed.

Of course the devil is in the details but if your outdoor kitchen is literally right outside/beside your indoor kitchen you should easily be able to tap into the drain line and water feed lines to your indoor sink.
Is your new place on a crawlspace or a slab?
Depending on the distance between the two sinks you may not have enough elevation difference to have a normal gravity drain line but I see Nola has already suggested a macerating sump pump to force feed your sink greywater into the drain in/under your house.
If your contractor is telling you this can't be done what he is really saying is "I don't want to be bothered with that" which isn't really unfair as I 'm sure they have timelines/deadlines they have to meet themselves. Just bad luck on the timing.

My kitchen will be next to the patio but there is about 15ft between where my kitchen sink is and where I would have the outdoor faucet. It’s a slab foundation. I did chalk his lack of interest in wanting to do it to the timeline rather than permits.

I had them plumb the water line off my wet bar sink inside and the drain line runs into the yard about 20 feet from the sink. It’s gravity driven and only drains when the water line is full.
There isn’t a garbage disposal and it doesn’t go into the city plumbing, but I can still get water from the faucet, wash hands, etc. I wouldn’t wash dishes out there even if I could though.

Nice setup! Have a question about your "protein plaques" to the right of the window, from bottom up it looks like beef, pork, cheekun, but what's the top item? It looks like the jack stands I use to change oil in my datsun...
___________Bad puns. That’s how eye roll.

The top item is a dinner bell with a pig on it. I'll get a pic from the side of it to show it better. I just draped the others over it to keep from having to drill another hole in the wall.

It was good meeting you at BB @bubbajack. That disc grill is pretty slick. I like it because it’s high enough off the ground not to kill your back cooking on it. You could slay some fried yardbird on that thing.

Since @nolaegghead broke the fire disk in with gulf shrimp, Fried pork belly...? I do not know the gentleman who cooked those. and @caliking cooked up some awesome wings.
The fire disk has made some really good eats here. Chicken wings, fried pork tenderloin, fries, fried shrimp, battered onion rings, Stir fry. So far the best has been funnel cake....lol
These are actually left overs from @caliking , he shared and we ate good. What a great guy.
It was a pleasure for me to hang out with all you guys for the weekend. Great group of people. It was like a family reunion with strangers!
