It’s always amusing to watch college sports fans of losing teams trying to latch on to some sort of victory when another school in the conference wins a championship. Granted the SEC is the poster child for this. Your rival is always supposed to be your rival.

Michigan St and Auburn lost me A LOT of money Saturday night. I had the final four picked in five different pools and ended up with $0.00. I already had a prime spot on the patio cleared off for the new XL I was going to buy with my winnings. Thanks NCAA referees and Tom Izzo.

Agreed and I am largely mocking that sort of thing. I do think the ACC is a great conference for basketball, but I don't really see the value of globbing onto it beyond that. I am happy for UVa as it's their first time winning the championship, and it's a great comeback from last year. But I would have been just as happy to see Texas Tech win.

Thanks to @gonepostal for sponsoring the bracket, I enjoyed the chase and watching the close games. Once again the person with the least possible basketball knowledge comes away with the win. I usually just put Duke up top and take my chances but so many of you were onto Duke, UNC, and KY that I wanted to think outside the box. Being from VA originally, I let it ride. I'll take pics of the loot and post and am looking forward to meeting you at BB19 in a few days. Hey at least I didn't win picking out school uniform colors like the ladies that usually win these things.
