@lousubcap thank you my friend. I will write up some more details, but this was an APL tenderloin inspired cook. Put some grill marks on it using the GrillGrates, then switched to indirect and basted with a glaze of honey, Worcestershire, butter until the IT reached about 130.
The fork is still clean...no rules were broken.
Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
Good luck man. The struggle is real.

Hate to break it to y’all. But a Kamado is no where near the optimal piece of equipment for cooking steaks. That’s why no famous steak house in the world uses them.
I still use my egg often for convenience but not for superiority. Jack of all trades, master of none.

I'd say it's a master of roasting.
The broiler is still the undisputed king of restaurant steak cookery.

I've certainly enjoyed my little Northfire Inferno broiler enough that I think I might be upgrading to the larger Otto Wilde this summer.

No pun intended?
Mine is fine. It did have one loose screw which was easy to tighten and the igniter didn't work. Looking around I saw that the electric cable from the battery wasn't pushed into the connector plug thus no spark. That was a simple fix - push the cable onto the connector.
I didn't get mine from Amazon but I can see that some folks that did might be quick to return it at the first sign of trouble. I got mine for just $375 and, initial little problems aside, I think it is solidly built. Of course if I do go ahead and get the Otto Wilde I have no doubt that being German made and three times the price I won't have to tighten any screws or connect any battery cables. 😋

I was talking about franklins books. Reviews may be different now.
