That seems to have gotten worse too. I always try to delete the pics when quoting, or quote just a single pic that I wanted to mention and delete the rest. Others used to do that, but it was happening less and less.

As for the soap pics, no point in waiting for 17 shaving soap photos to load, ONE time, much less 5. Regardless of internet connection speed. Or 17 of anything really.

I'm pretty sure pictures that are quoted are not downloaded redundantly. I agree it can be annoying to quote a 10 picture post just to reply "nice cook.".

My limited understanding of this issue from another very picture heavy forum is that redundant graphic posts do slow the forum quit a bit. I'm sure our esteemed purveyor of this establishment will be along at some point to bring us up to speed.

On my system, they are; in fact, in a single post if I'm down at the tenth or so photo, and start scrolling back/upwards, THOSE photos reload! I haven't seen that on any other forum. 10-year old Macbook Air, OS-X Yosemite, Safari.

My mobile quote work, You have to double tap the quote, then drag to the post box.

If we are making changes can we just eliminate the flag, off topic, disagree so that people don't get their undies in a bunch if someone fat-fingers a disagree.

On a side note to paste GIFs that actually GIF I think you need to click [<>] (insert media) and paste the link.
