Hate to see that Adam. Best of luck going forward. I get it. Do what you have to do for your family....
If you do make it...save you and Ashish about a half bag of bourbon slushy...maybe this time Asish gets to pour...
It was a helluva time last year. You will be missed..

I recall one year you stopped by for, like, 30 minutes.  Better than not dropping by at all.....

What irks me is people that commit to showing up and don't show, as a repetitive pattern.  Not talking about anyone on this forum (except maybe Scottie ;) ) but just a planning and courtesy thing.  RSVP is a logistics courtesy to the host, show up or not.

We’ll have to find someone else to hide his chocolate pot this year.
He had chocolate pot? Explains a lot.

I know dude. My wife and I were driving back yesterday and she said “what about NC?” and she said my face looked like the guy from Raiders of the Lost Ark as the realization hit me.

Adam, gonna miss you for sure. The bigger issue is the lack of pear - honey beverage.
Have you made courtesy arrangements for that?

Gentlemen, I just got back from a trip with a friend who offered me a very enticing job opportunity.

There is a strong possibility that I will have to omit myself from Butt Blast festivities this year in order to be up and running by the time he needs me up to speed on the new job.

I will keep y’all up to date next week when we sit down to work out the particulars but I wanted to pass it along to start the ridicule early.
Then who is going to steal Robins Flag?

Thanks for posting the tentative menu. I will stop eating now, so that I can do these wonderful cooks some justice.

Piggy backing on the menu, just a reminder that if you are coming in on Thursday, I will be preparing dinner for the crowd. Looks like about 12-15 people at present. If you are arriving on Thursday, drop me a pm and I will add you to the list....and communicate directly with you details as we get closer.

No, but we might have someone cooking one 2-inch steak.  That’s almost the same thing.

I was back at my future BILs this weekend. I told him since he is technically an egghead now, that he should come with me to NC in a few weeks. I proceeded to tell him about it, etc.. SWMBO told him that it was called Butt Blast and he immediately looked at me with a straight face and said "So, you a bottom or a top?"

I told him that he could be the little spoon. He passed and I think he is honestly concerned now.

It’s possible we need to make “Butt Blast” the insider name and tell everyone else it’s called “The NC Gathering of Friends and Family for Barbecue: A Family Friendly Event!”

If it's any consolation, I'm bringing shrimp and oysters, not crawfish...that's not to say shrimp heads and oyster shells smell any better.

My point is we'll mix it up.

Who's bringing the rape kit this year?  We will be all CSI to keep crime to a minimum.  Stay vigilant, though!
