This truck I bought in GA . . . On 12/29/18. . . Still don't have the title for. Dealer out of business. Haven't been able to get a hold of them lately. Hoping someone answers phone Monday. Spoke to GA DMV and lawyers and a judge and investigators...sigh... my temp plate expired. Dealer sent me a fake new one... found it was a fake when talking to DMV... they have no record of it. I would contact @Thatgrimguy aka Scott Allen. He is a dealer, went to dealer school (Youngest person ever). The question is probably around if the dealer you purchased it from owned it or if it was owned by the manufacturer or some intermediary.kl8ton said:

@legume @DoubleEgger @northGAcock @jrwhitee thanks gentlemen. Long weekend and the Eggs were in workhorse mode. First time I’ve had all 3 lit in a long time. It was my mom’s boyfriends birthday so we were finally getting all the families together (I figured I would rather man the grills than the awkward social interactions)
Since Friday we did wings, pimento cheese ABTs, Tri Tip, Teres Major, brats, rotisserie chicken, and Smokey pimento cheese deviled eggs.
Today I’m ordering a damn pizza

Yes sir! The general manager of the Dealership actually emailed me. He gave me the name of the attorney representing the dealership. Also he gave me the name of the floorplan company holding my title. I had not heard of floorplan companies until recently when a buddy opened a dealership.... they give dealerships a credit line to buy cars and hold titles for collateral.
I called the floorplan company and submitted my info showing I bought truck outright and they submitted paperwork to release my title! I should hear in 7-14 days.
Also out if the blue, the Attorney General office of GA contacted me as they were doing their own investigation of the dealer. . . I submitted my info and have a case open with them.
So... it looks good. Hoping I don't get pulled over but if i do i hope cop is lenient as i can show him all this documentation.

I just got the title to my new car this past weekend, but my story is different, and a bit less harrowing. I bought my car last Fall, was prepared to pay cash but the dealer showed me that, if I financed a minimal amount with Audi FS, he could knock an additional $2K off the agreed price; I did that. I had to make at least 5 payments, so I paid the majority off on the first payment and the "scheduled" payment for the remaining 4, and now its paid off.
So, I got the title a couple days ago, yay. Unfortunately I must now take it to the utard DMV to get a finalized title. ARGHH!! I HATE the DMV!!“I'll have what she's having."
