I loved living in Boston during college but cannot stand Red Sox fans. Chanting “Yankees suck” over and over in a subway car during the off season is just annoying, especially in that awful baby talk accent. Didn’t care for either team so didn’t watch any of it.

@Legume I couldn't get the link to work but the Bills got to the Super Bowl four straight years. Dodgers have more to go until they move into that rarified atmosphere. That said, getting to the ultimate measuring stick game of your profession several years in a row to me means you are doing many things right. And they lost to three different teams along the way. FWIW-Kinda like the Oakland A's, 1988-1990; lose to the Dodgers, beat the Giants and lose to the Reds. Buts that's a whole 'nother deal. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

For us oldies who remember when the Giants played in New York and the Dodgers in Brooklyn, the other sport Giants will always be known as the "New York Football Giants". I followed them all but was a big fan of that unmentioned team, The New York Yankees in my youth. That was long, long ago and seems like far, far away... And it was and is...
