Ron and I were eatly for the comprletition untill we had a flat on the trailer. Problem is, we only had a half a can of fix a flat. When you sTop at the 24 hour 44 Goodrench store.( just off the frontage road) they had a very dusty can of fix a flat. Well between the half can we had and the half can they had.....back on the roadway.

when got there, we of course were rushed through the process to get caught up with those who started hours before us. We get there and our predicessors were most kind to hep us unload. They were kind enough to take our cooler from the car (all the way to the utter side), and put it out in the middle of the sun. ****.the hole bunchofum.

then we was rushed to leave. Jeremiah said it wAs time for me and Ron to leave. So we did, grabbing boxes and cookware and moved on. Now mind ya, we were not successful in absconding the con cave cuttin board that holds two cups of rendered juices. (Guaranteed) .....but we tried.

gotta tell you we really like the stuff we made off wit. So now we got lots of tongs and other people’s moss beer.

.....great time and thanx to @JohnInCarolina for the killer tongs. Roebucks on brother....and, nice garnishes John...green onion on everyone of you wings. By th way, been scrubbing wit those tongs.....been trying to get that green $hit scrubedoff for the better part of the evening.

Now that Kay and I lost! I will share things I have learned from Wing Ding 3. First of all wings wrapped in bacon will win, don't listen to people that say you can't do the same cook you did last year, like John said please your judges, spicy HOT is not your friend, lady's don't like HOT & SPICY like us drunken men, practice your cook on the same size BGE you will be using at the event, I did my practice cook on a large raised indirect (CGS Adjustable Rig) and the skin was just crispy and wonderful but I had to use my MM at the event and the skin was rubber, had to many wings on the grate, I also didn't get the MM hot enough. At the end of the day Kay and I had an AWESOME time and are very happy that Amy (Justin) won this year. If you can get Ron to come and cook a beef tenderloin that is just great, if John will come and do pizza you have a home run, If Jeremiah, Bianca and Reagan host it you will Golden. This is life with BGE. It also doesn't matter if you win or loose, what is important is that you take the time out of life to spend time with great people that you enjoy.

So... Robin texts me tonight to say he thinks he knows where my tongs are. I ask him - did you end up with them? He responds by saying he thinks I’ll find them eventually...

My first thought is that SOB placed them and a tin of wings under one of the seats of my car, just like he done to @Killit_and_Grillit. So I head out to my car, and I damn near search every inch of that thing. Opened up the hood half expecting them to be sitting on the engine block, but no. Eventually I’m like... damnit, the assman got me good. I probably won’t find them until they stink to high heaven.
