Independence Caveman Prime Ribeyes

The steaks were accompanied by grilled garden tomatoes, home grown red taters, Nichole’s shrooms and a wedge. Feeling rather dependent on N’s garden. Cheers my brothers. And happy Independence Day.

Obligatory money shot for you Frank ;)

    Now we are talking.  Great cook and way to bring it home.  Nailed the money shot!  Hopefully you are a caveman convert for the duration.

    Um. Ay. Zing.

    Beautiful meal. Caveman is my favorite way to get a steak done. And all the veg from the home garden just takes it over the top.

    Brent, I just recently got a chattering clutch on my Cayman.  from nowhere, I get in the car and the clutch feels heavy, off, weird.  I thought it might be from the Crocks that I normally only use around the house.  so I took those off and did all kinds of tests.

    64K miles, and the last 37K are me and I'm a friggin engineer with not wearing out a clutch, so unless the original owner was naive, should be plenty of life left.

    It's like the friction in the clutch changed characteristics.   I did some research and saw a few people heated up the clutch and it resurfaced it enough to be normal again.  I tried that as painfully as it is for me to ride a clutch, and maybe didn't do it enough but problem still exists.

    Hear anything like this?

    Just love the plate (and the wine)! What do you know about the wine? Not wondering how drunk you got  :) just asking because the name is (very) swedish.

    @nolaegghead,
    Weird problem with the clutch.  I'm unfamiliar and can't add much.  Bummer for sure.  I hope you get it worked out.  Seems like low miles for such a problem.

    The founder of the winery is John Bergstrom and the winemaker is Josh Bergstrom.  I assume they have Swedish roots but don't really know.  It was a very smooth Pinot.

    Thanks.  I can live with it.  There's not much I can do without cracking the bell housing.   Until it starts slipping, it works fine.  I was just wondering if this was something that you might have experienced.  I'm a stickler for mechanical stuff working perfectly.

    Beautiful cook Brent and Nicole. Great wine selection too. Oregon Pinot Noir is excellent. None, that we bought, made it past the State line as we headed south.

    @nolaegghead - I am and have been running with clutch cars for over 48 years (yes, I'm old) but have never experienced that behavior.  Wish I could add something positive here.  Good luck with your continuing resolution pursuit.
