Hey I’m wanting to try something different on my brisket this weekend, do any brick and mortar stores sell butchers paper that any of you have used successfully? Thanks for the help!

Ask for some at a grocery store meat dept. That is where I got some to try on a brisket. Make sure it isn’t lined with wax.Pittsburgh, PA. LBGE

Do you have a butcher? He may be able to give you a few feet. Sam’s sells the “lifetime supply” roll of white. Just make sure you don’t get freezer paper by accident (it has a coating on the back- no bueno)

Unfortunately I’m in Abingdon, Va, it’s hard enough to find a brisket around here haha. I’ll try my butcher at Kroger, he’s a pretty nice guy maybe he will be inclined to toss some paper my way lol.

I don't remember the last time I saw paper bags in a grocery store! They used to ask, "paper or plastic?", now they just stuff it in a plastic bag. Liquor stores still use paper though. Here anyway, don't know about Virginia's ABC stores.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Lots of craft stores sell rolls of brown paper that isn't wax impregnated.

I bought a roll from this place...it's peach paper which is closer to what Aaron Franklin uses if you trust his opinion on cooking a brisket

I don't know what the going price is - either of the white or pink. Here is the contact info I have for the stuff Franklin uses. I bought a roll about 3 years ago and it's like the loaves and fishes. It never seems to reduce in size.
Here is the contact in case anyone is looking:
A single roll of the 24” x 1000’ butcher paper is 47.40. The estimated freight to Phoenix, AZ is 26.18. I can have that shipped out today via Fedex 3-day ground. If you would like to get that order finalized, please call me at 512-837-5887.Thank you,
Cheryl

When I ordered smoking woods from https://fruitawood.com/ I ordered precut sheets of butcher paper. The’re 36” x 36” and the cost was 65 cents a sheet and no shipping charge if ordered with wood. I added 10 sheets to my order to try. I don’t make many briskets, and so far this worked for me. Im going to order some post oak in a few and I’ll add some more paper to the order as well. Here is a direct link to the paper: https://fruitawood.com/#!/Peach-or-White-Butcher-Paper-FDA-Approved/p/69119737/category=20359130
