You mean the au pair? I don't think she climbs much of anything. My wife insisted that if we were going to have one of those, that she needed to be pretty fat. I'm not sure what that was all about but there you have it. Her residence is also on the first floor, as it happens.Legume said:@JohnInCarolina how do the house staff feel about that ladder? That's a nice setup too. Haven't ran into any "downsides" yet. The shelves are completely adjustable.northGAcock said:
Interesting you say that. I took out my wire shelves out (not the quality of these you and @DoubleEgger have) and built wooden shelves in mine. I like the wood as they are more substantial in the sturdiness category. I think they are all nice. What downsides (if any) do you see with the wire shelves?saluki2007 said:

The wood shelves are nice. The new shelving I installed was spur of the moment. I’ve been painting and got to that area and decided I needed a new system. I patched up the swiss cheese holes from the last setup (about 50 holes) and installed the rack system. I had wood shelves at our prior place and the only downside to them was getting light to the back of the shelves and being able to see stuff on the lower shelves. It seems like I can see better with the open style shelving. I also like the wall mount system so the Roomba can clean underneath.northGAcock said:

@northGAcock i see you have these. I bought some today. Do they work well? Container Store was quite proud of them...
-
Yes....though i got them from Amazon. They came in a set....don't recall them being terribly expensive. They were $45 at the time.

@DoubleEgger I'd recommend LED light bars for the lower shelves, if necessary. They are battery powered and are motion activated. Mine goes 6 months or so on a charge.

Today is my Off Friday, and its been raining all day. Watched the local noon news, and the newsroom's daily "chef" did Baby Backs in his Instapot. 30 minutes, then brushed with sauce and under the broiler for a few. Meat was definitely "fall-off-the-bone", unless he cut them with a plastic knife.
