    @DoubleEgger I'm not going to try to fool myself or anyone else into thinking I'm qualified to judge on what evidence exists or doesn't exist.  Or what should or shouldn't be pursued further.  Maybe you are better qualified than I am, probably true.  This has never been a problem of localized bias, corruption, bad actors or whatever, this is systemic, elected, appointed, hired, etc.  That's my baseline.  Broken system, both directions, top to bottom.

    If the US government was a corporation, they would be valued and judged on their performance.  Individuals by their contributions and holistically by their financial performance. You would or would not buy their stock.  But you can't really do that.  You can vote.  I think the closest parallel to business may be when shareholders vote for BoD membership which, for the average shareholder probably more closely resembles an election in Russia.  So vote them out, consistently, repeatedly, and without regard to short term partisan opinions.

    Give it another listen.   I think you'll see he was happy and scored to report that James holmes was a member of the tea party.   A definite, as you like to say these days, dog whistle.
