Need Appetizer Ideas

We are having a neighborhood get together Sunday for about 10-12 people. We are serving a whole Wagyu Brisket and mac and cheese so I am looking for some good appetizer ideas that will come off the egg. I have done scotch eggs, pork belly burnt ends, soft pretzels and bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers in the past. any ideas are welcome and appreciated.

-Find some good local sausage links you can grill and then slice into bite size app pieces. Serve with your favorite mustards. It's October, so Brats are in season.
-Pulled pork sliders.
All of your prior served items, though, are better than anything I could come up with. Nice work! They must love when you host a get-together!LBGE/Maryland -

You've got the heavy fatty rich foods covered. I'd go with something lighter and brighter to offset it. Something with a vinegar or lemon or lime juice vinegrette like a slaw roasted root veggies. Those are sides so doesn't really cover what your asking for. For an app you could grill all the ingredients in a Salsa and then food processor or blend them for a grilled Salsa with blue corn chips.

That cream cheese looks killer. I've only just set out a block and poured spicy red pepper jelly on it and served it with crackers. This takes it another level.fishlessman said:smoke a couple blocks of cream cheese for crackers, tried several rubs and such but just cracked pepper was the best, 275 for about 2 hours. serve cold, hot, room temp

Had some folks instead of using pepper jelly, they used Pickapeppa sauce. It was pretty good too.fishlessman said:

I don't personally eat vegetables, aside from potato's, green beans and corn. so I am typically not in charge of bringing those. their are a couple of them neighbors that can cook, they are bringing a side also of the vegetable variety since I don't eat them, I don't cook them either. the other neighbors that cant cook are in charge of wine and beer.

You need some hog in there....prosciutto wrapped asparagus.
Pro tip: Buy extra prosciutto for consumption during assembly.
My favorite app hands down is from Mallmann's Seven Fires.

Thanks. I love bruschetta. Mallmann takes it to the absolute top. The char of the burnt tomatoes, anchovy umami, fresh herbs, and bringing it all together with the goat cheese was brilliant. I shaved some parm for these.Eoin said:

Barbecue shrimp and sausage skewers(semi ot), funeral sandwiches, or pineapple gems. All can be found here with the search feature. I've only learned of them here so not trying to take any credit but all are fantastic appetizers. Best of luck.

ABT's and pig shots have been a favorite amongst our friends. Moinkballs seem to be a popular BGE appetizer as well (Bacon wrapped meatballs, rubbed and glazed). Also a good buffalo chicken dip off the egg would be killer.

Made this a long time ago. I still remember it. Will have to do it again soon. From the Smoke & Spice cookbook.

Kenji Lopez Alt does a "McRib" sandwich as well, he calls it the Ribby McRibFace and it looks amazing. WAY more involved than I'd ever be willing to do, though.Focker said:McRib season is approaching, gonna have to try this one on a Bears Sunday afternoon.

Would be nice to sear/finish a la Blackstone. I may give this a whirl with Aldi brioche buns.
I am a McRib who-our, always opting for sloppy $1 seconds. Thanks for the link.

Moink Balls are definitely the most common appetizer request that I get.

Well, 10 pages of comments on this recipe and this was before his anus phase really kicked in. This might be worth a look.
