Last night was my MIL's 70 something birthday dinner and she wanted to try a new Italian does out on us. It was very good and I am thinking of trying this out on my egg sometime soon. I like meatloaf on the egg and I figured it would give it more flavor to the meat. There was 6 adults and small kids for dinner and we ate about half of it. I will need at least 10 or more people for this one all though I wouldn't mind leftovers on this one.

I believe @caliking done something similar to that on his egg. Seems like it was on a smaller scale.

My niece and nephew still talk about them. A fun cook for sure.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
Sounds like it would be good. I like a little hickory or mesquite on the egged meatloaf, not sure what smoke wood might go with Angel Hair Pasta....
We do baked pasta on the egg a lot. Penne, spaghetti, rotini - it is all good, like a deep dish pizza, only it is not.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad! -
This does sound good!“There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body.”

This was before I joined. Glad you let me know about it. The smaller version looks cool as well, but I bet is more work.caliking said:

I am not sure when I will try either one yet. This Saturday we are having a rib cook off in our part of the neighborhood. Should be good. I was going to do beef ribs and pork spare ribs. We have 4 possibly 5 entry's.XL, WSM, Coleman Road Trip Gas GrillKansas City, Mo. -
It was a fair bir of work , but worth it. I had honestly not thought of doing it as a bigger version. Would have definitely saved some effort. Doh!
And do beef ribs. You'll win handily.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX.
