Surprising it happened once. But to have it happen again in the span of a few months is just shocking.DoubleEgger said:Speaking of work drinking, WTH is going on with the Navy in SE Asia?“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.” ― Philip K. Diçk -

And an autonomous rig tracking any submarine is beyond the technology that we even give ourselves credit for. But I have been wrong before and will be again...
Edit: Regarding speed of commercial ships-they are not making any $$ in transit. They run at quite a high speed regardless of weather and visibility. Load and off-load as quickly as possible are the drivers.
Just ask @northGAcock about his fog (weather) encounter last summer.

Those three guys handled it like champ. It took less than 10 minutes to get it down the slope and into place in the basement.JRWhitee said:

Normally a rockwood guy. Just opened my first bag of fogo to give it a whirl, huge chunks. I know chunk size doesn't matter in lump, but man, it's impressive. (and slightly annoying to have to break some up)XL & MM BGE, 36" Blackstone - Newport News, VA

Just finished dinner with son and his GF. Finished up the remaining flat from my first Prime brisket cook with jasmine rice and wax beans. Couldn't believe how much better it tasted when I reheated it in the oven tonight. Poured the remaining drippings on the rice, just yum. Still have the point in the freezer! Burnt ends??Ubi panis, ibi patria.

@SamIAm2 - You will not get any comments from me regarding sacrificing the best part of the brisket to burnt ends.
Pork belly turns out a great burnt ends protein.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
It was just a bad thought, really. Sorry won't happen again. I blame myself, I've been reading this thread from first post and am only on tab 100 or something like that.lousubcap said:@SamIAm2 - You will not get any comments from me regarding sacrificing the best part of the brisket to burnt ends.

Made this tonight with some left over brisket. Cubed up some of the point and braised it in some marinara sauce. Was really really good.
