Installed some new bands tonight. Got em together and think I may have screwed up the hinge. Anyone have the new bands that could post a pic? I couldnt figure out how to get the spring on.

I did the install myself, I don't understand .. post pictures please.I've slow smoked and eaten so much pork, I'm legally recognized as being part swine - Chatsworth Ca.

I was confused at first also. When i first put them on, there was slack when the lid was open. The bottom hook of the spring should face away from the egg. The top hook needs to face towards the egg. To do this, you hook the spring on the bottom first, then rotate the spring as you extent to to the top. I had a spring hook from the trampoline that was useful.

Looks like I've installed them upside down. Hopefully I can remedy that without completely removing them. Thanks for posting the pic.
