propane burner to use with CI for cooking

Just saw a portable induction burner at IKEA on Saturday for $45.  They're new and I don't see them on the website yet.  I will be grabbing one when I go back in a week or so.

My gasser has a side burner that I use for this type of cooking.

If you have the space, a two burner, like the Camp Chef, can be bought for <$100 when on sale. 30000BTU per burner allows you to boil large pots of water, deep fry, and searing is hard to beat. Once you have experienced the temp control on a high output burner, you probably will not use your egg to wok. There are some single burner units out there, but they are almost the same cost as a two.

They are about $20 or less at most Asian stores. Don't get an American brand like Sterno because they have "safety " features that are annoying without making the thing that much safer. 

@DMW I think I got one at Costco for $60 a couple of years ago. Asian supermarkets here have those for cheaper too.

Have you tried outdoor stores like Cabellas? Pretty sure you will find what you need. They also sell CI.

I have had these and they work but not in the wind and never hot enough to deep fry in any large amounts. I finally got an induction burner and I'm very happy with it. Oh and I promise that little butane bottle will run out at the worst time in your cook. 

I use this NuWave. It's portable and easy to use. Any magnetic pan/pot will work. Works very well with cast iron.

I use both a single induction burner and just an old fashioned burner for a turkey fryer. Both are fine but, the induction burner gets more usage. 
PSA>>> if using an induction burner "gradually" heat your CI or it'll warp the piece.

You're absolutely right! I use it to cook at eggfests and assume that it will run out eight in the middle of cooking. The bottles are cheap at Asian markets, so I have a stash of a few bottles in my eggfest gear.
