Stay tuned. They are opening 185 doors...this year. And remodeling all 2400 doors in the US. They are a beast. 5th largest retailer in the world! And privately held too. One of the brothers owns Aldi and the other Trader Joes. Think they are doing ok.DoubleEgger said:

Amazon has been itching to get in to the g store business for a while. The pressure has been mounting for traditional grocers for a while. Kroger lost about 20% of its value yesterday. Walmart and Amazon's deep pockets will run a lot of grocers out of business.johnnyp said:I don't even think it's about the store locations. I think of Amazon getting Whole Food's relationships that can be added to Prime Pantry.

My store was fine before, but they closed for about 6 weeks for a remodel. Just reopened a few weeks ago. Not a moment too soon either. I was going thru withdrawal!
Mom's in VA is fine too.I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

A couple Lidl stores opened in my city yesterday. Haven't been there yet - will wait for the hoopla to fade a few weeks.
Local paper had a couple of articles about them:

We have a couple of Lidl stores opening up in the next few months here too. I'm curious to see what they are like.
We don't have a Whole Foods in Spartanburg, so hopefully we can order it online soon.1 large BGE, Spartanburg SC

If I could order all of my staples for pickup and at a low price, walk in to a store and get them, and shop for high quality meats, fish and veggies I'd be very happy. We end up going to a few different stores instead.Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle

I hate planes and their tight spaces. Don't need a seat belt extension or anything like that, just big bone/husky. Lol. Still feel like I could encroach the person next to me sometimes.------------------------------

Yes, but should block other retailers from developing the same for their stores, or third party from developing same. I struggle with thinking beyond dinner.DoubleEgger said:
