That guy was hilarious......love watching him old Carson replays. He was on one of Letterman's final shows too with Howard Stern--still a laugh riot. He would slam somebody, then say the sweetest thing to them right after......the kind of guy where you knew he really liked and respected someone the harder he hit them. Truly a pro. RIP. It's going to suck to lose Mel Brooks some day too.

There's a story about the fist time Sinatra watched Don do his act in a nightclub.
Frank Sinatra walked in and sat down. Don saw him and said "Hi Frank, just make yourself at home" and then said "And hit someone".
Frank laughed and they were friends from then on.
Took a pair big ones to say that, in public, to the Chairman of Board back in the day!!
