Dumbest Statement of the Year

We had a few friends over this weekend. Everyone was inside and I was rolling smoke on the Egg having a beer with my brother in law.

My my sister and wife came out back and my sister says, "if that d@mn Egg is so magical then you can leave it and come prep sides while the meat is cooking.

Response:

I know im not the only one who was hiding in the back yard for some R&R last weekend.

You have got to issue a press-release focusing on the cook to BGE connection that enables the magic to occur.  You are right, SWMBO eggscape time is one of the true benefits.  But you have to work the magic at the appropriate time. Can't let 'em get exposed to the true magic or the trick impact is gone forever. Guard closely the true powers of the BGE.
Regrettably, it sounds like you have been found out.  Good luck with the recovery.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

The year is young, many more cooks and many more opportunities for something dumber to be said!!!! Lol . You should have told her "it's not a pellet grill this thing takes skill to produce quality meals on"

And the best retort is "we should have eaten you while your bones were still soft"

  • @yljkt in her defense she did bring apps and sides they just needed to be constructed. (My wife has been feeling pretty funky for a few weeks)

She is a chef so everything we do is always way too complicated and takes too many man hours for the enjoyment.

That's why you own a Bugasalt gun.

Complaints / discussions / or pronouncements that "we have to talk" should not be allowed on the cooking patio.

The dude abides, but he would not abide to that.

The DudeThis is a very complicated case, Maude. You know, a lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-you's. And, uh, lotta strands to keep in my head, man. Lotta strands in old Duder's head. Luckily I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug regimen to keep my mind, you know, limber.

I'm completely with you. I don't care if dominos is delivering pizza, I need to sit out back by the grill.

Luckily my wife understands the patio time and is a master at the sides. I'm not allowed near them.

Not sure how much time you had on your cook at that time, but would it have been appropriate to ask her to go back inside and please make you a sandwich?
