Got some pieces of fire brick to give a raised direct level on the grill. The same pieces along with some other broken bricks removed from the stove get the pizza stone a bit higher too.

That went well. Pizza stone couldn't stand the heat and cracked into 3 pieces during the first cook. Need a better stone now, or a chunk of steel.

If you can get a BGE pizza stone over there that is what I would recommend. They can take the heat without cracking.Eoin said:

Chopped burnt ends, ham, sausage, jalapeño . Side of broccoli and sauce. One of my go-to BBQ spots in town for lunch.

I ate at the one in Chicago, but it was before I learned to cook. It was pretty good(at the time). Cool to see them cooking over charcoal in the first floor of a high rise(high to me)bhedges1987 said:

This was in Schaumburg. Crowded, loud, good wine list, over priced, nothing cooked to order at our table, 2 of the 5 were sent back, and actually all could have been. Medium rare can not be cooked on Weber grills, it seems. They did have on display the big expensive one they just brought out, and I goofed around with it.theyolksonyou said:

I played with one recently, prices are already coming down, $500 on both models. Not even lukewarm at a G. Gasket is nice though.

I think it needs to come down another $700.00. I was not impressed. Did not have the heft, and although I am sure it was moved around and handled a lot as a display item in the restaurant, every night, by more people than would mess with an egg, it was showing sings of looseness. Not nearly rickety, but definitely more sway.Focker said:

The one pictured has been used gently as a demo.
Performers are around 400, 500 would be reasonable. 1000 is still a joke.BrandonQuad Cities
