Had some friends over to watch football. Grilled some hot dogs for the kids:

Made some pulled pork nachos. The pulled pork was made on the egg some time back, the final product was in the oven. Also served some sushi and a charcuterie board I picked up at Wegman's today.

Drank, and still drinking, some beers. Sunday is almost over, early start tomorrow. Man I hate Mondays...

Great day and eats Dwayne.  Happy Monday for you brother.

I thought some may get a kick out of a throwback pic.

This is my grandmother, grandfather, mom, and aunt.  Dad's taking the pic, and I'm probably napping.  This was 1971 ( I was 1 yr old).

I remember watching Apollo missions eating chicken pot pies and Salisbury steak TV dinners at tables just like those.  That was a big deal when we got to eat in front of the tv.  Great pic.
    Love you bro!

Just ran off a couple of friends who came over for dinner - Grilled Drago-style oysters (finally killed off that huge sack), smoked sausage (on the egg) - Italian and brats, and a couple pounds of edamame for green.   Been discussing politics for 4 hours.  SWMBO texted me "help" she has to work early in the AM.  She crashed out in the guest room.  I'm need to wake her up.

Just booked our Annual Valentine’s day weekend trip to Chicago!

I started taking my wife and daughter there a few years ago for a four day weekend on the Magnificent Mile of dining and shopping.  They absolutely love it.  It’s a great time for me, but my wife and daughter have a wonderful time.

I get to show my wife and daughter how much I love them. Plus my daughter gets to see firsthand how I treat my wife and how she should expect to be treated in relationship/marriage.

Sierra Nevada announced a recall today so I just dumped a 12 pack of Torpedo I bought yesterday and filled out the reimbursement form online. Poured a couple fingers of Knob Creek and got a spatchcock going.

Winding down after a bizarre day.  Walking out to my truck during lunch I watched a plane takeoff from the airport.  Watched it climb, then begin to yaw towards the airport.  Then looks like it stalled, rolled, and crashed straight into the runway.  Huge fireball.  Not what I expected to see.  Nor ever want to see again.

Weird thing is I've witnessed two small plane crashes. What are the chances? It's a bit surreal as you're watching it thinking all along, "this isn't going to happen".

I forgot to shut my tailgate after taking out some saw horses last night. I noticed my tailgate open when going out to lunch this afternoon. My cooler and toolbox must have fallen out of my truck bed on the way to work this morning. I thought my day was a little strange. Your story sounds awful. That's terrible. Hope for the best in that plane

My thoughts exactly.  Very surreal.  Twin engine Beechcraft.  King Air.

No luck on the way home. Everything is replaceable. I'm just glad I didn't own a Yeti or some fancy cooler. I just hope I didn't mess anyone else's morning up with my crap falling out of the truck. Hopefully it rolled down into a ditch or somewhere out of the way

Good attitude!  You are right, objects are replaceable.  Good reason not to own a Yeti.

    That sucks.

Back in my skydiving days, we witnessed a malfunction at our home drop zone in Geneseo.  We were all yelling, "GET RID OF IT!  GET RID OF IT!!  He could hear us as he struggled.  Felt like slow motion as he was approaching.  He cut away last minute, and Cypress reserve shute fired.  He never jumped again...but at least could walk away.

Just found out it was one of my friends best friend who died today.  She talked to him minutes before take-off.

Thank you.  So strange.  Such a small world.  I've watched thousands of planes take of from there.

SWMBO got mad that I didn't set the coffee maker last night before I went to bed. Got up at 4:30 so it would be made at 5:00 when she got up. She just woke up and complained that it was weak (made it how we always make it).

I have a feeling that today is not going to be a good day.
