Yes I did it.

I burned the table with a torch and then mixed honey and dark walnut stains. Then a coat of poly

Nicely built table! Quality craftsmanship like that needs a cover though. I would recommend this one:

When you say mix, do you mean mixed the two stains in one container then applied?

Or do you mean you used the two stains but at different times giving it a two stain finish?

Looks great btw, surprised you had time with Law School too. Kudos!

thanks! I do it at nights and on weekends and I work at a law firm 30 hours a week. It's been a crazy few years
