Nando's Peri Peri wings

Made some wings with Peri Peri Sauce and really enjoyed them. The sauce has a nice flavor to it without being too hot. More flavor than heat, which I like. I also have a bottle of Nando's Peri Peri Garlic Sauce, but have not tried it yet. Only having a few wings at a time because I am cutting back and trying to watch portion size and carb count again.

    That looks great. I have never tried peri peri sauce before but I would like to try it. I will look for this although I suspect it my be regional.  Their restaurants are only in a few states.  

    Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

    Great stuff.  I have been keeping the hot on hand.  Great for making buffalo chicken for tacos too.  I had never heard of it until this past summer when we went to a restaurant in Chicago.  Now they are all over the city.

    Nando's is good stuff. I've tried a number of Peri Peri recipes, but always come back to the medium. Spatchcocked chicken slathered in Nando's is a favourite around our house.

    Nando's Peri Peri Garlic Sauce is one of my favorite hot sauces. I go thru three or four bottles per month.

    I have a couple bottles of the Nandos Peri-Peri Extra Hot, and that is excellent as well.  It is spicy, but not too spicy and has a lot of flavor.  A lot of the extra hot sauces are just *ss burning acid, no flavor.

    Thanks @epcotisbest , I found a bottle at the Commissary, bought but then forgot about it.  Something to try this weekend!

    Do you brush the chicken with it after the it is grilled or as a finishing sauce before pulling?

    I marinated the wings in the sauce before grilling, then poured more sauce on the wings once on the plate.

    I marinated the wings in the sauce before grilling, then poured more sauce on the wings once on the plate.
    I bought a bottle at my local Jewel today. Looking forward to trying some out this weekend.
