I know there's a few photographers here. I just got a "Pluto Trigger", and now this weekend its 20% off, so less than one hundred bucks.
https://plutotrigger.com/
I bought it strictly for it's lightning trigger capabilities, but it also can be triggered by laser, Blutooth, by something/someone tripping an IR beam, or by an IR emitter coming into the frame (think a deer walking by at night), and even sound-triggered (think pics of balloons bursting, glasses breaking, prairie dogs getting shot). It also can do up to 19 levels of HDR photos, location photos via GPS, timelapse, and the smartphone app that controls it has a bunch of other useful calculators, etc.
Its very well-built and comes with a good round of accessories; I also bought the accessory that allows "drip/splash" photography (see below).
Great toy, for me.

@Botch that thing looks super cool! Wish I was ware of this a few days ago, I would have got it for my upcoming trip. But I am not going to be able to get it in time. Did you ever use it/see it in person? If so, what have you used it for?

I read about it on the Petapixel website, the reviews were great, and I purchased it a couple weeks ago.
I've always wanted a lightning trigger (where you pick out a landscape, focus, and then the trigger opens the shutter when lightning hits, human reflexes aren't quite quick enough), but they were around $400. When I saw this, and then all the other stuff it can do, it was a no-brainer.
I'm still playing with everything, hope to post a few pics soon.“All you need in this life is ignorance and confidence, and then success is sure.”

KC BBQ Store in Olathe. They've been very helpful to me as a newbie. It's next to Joe's KC. They are discounting the XL to $999 and 15% off accessories.Ladeback69 said:
@KC_Steve, I want a medium to go with my XL. I would keep the medium and get an XL if you have the funds. I would see what my dealer in Liberty and see what they are selling it for on Friday or Saturday. Who is your dealer?KC_Steve said:
That's what I am "afraid" of. I'll get the XL and keep the Medium. We'll see what happens on Friday!DoubleEgger said:
The XL Medium combo is the best out there.KC_Steve said:I think a local dealer is doing the XL for $999. I've been thinking of replacing my Medium for a Large, but an XL is tempting.
Decided on the Large at $799, versus the XL at $999. I'll keep the Medium for now.L, M - Kansas City -

I'm excited to try the Kamado Joe. I'm loaded pretty deep with Rockwood right now but figured another bag wouldn't hurt. I was surprised to find a mini platesetter at a dealer down the road. For $20 I couldn't passDoubleEgger said:

@Canugghead That was a good deal on the Instant Pot! Do you have one? I've had my eyes on the smart Bluetooth version for a few months now. The price difference makes me wonder if it is worth it. Maybe it will be back on sale Monday...Canugghead said:for canucks:

Costco has a Surface Pro 4 bundle that includes a Surface Pro 4 i5/4GB RAM/128G SSD with a Surface type keyboard cover for $749. Deal goes through 11/28. I'm typing this on my Surface Pro 4 I just got from Costco

So far, I really like it.

@paqman yes I have the same model IP-DUO60, paid $130 in July 2015. My son bought the lower model IP-LUX60 in the summer at $99.
$84.99 was an incredible deal, a friend and a nephew each bought one yesterday. Price went up to $130 today, may come down cyber monday but I doubt it'll be as low as black friday though.
I have not paid attention to the BT version.canuckland -
BF for me has been weak, a record low. Not that it's a bad thing.
Used to comb amazon, but the deals don't seem to be there the last several years.
Maybe Prime members get access to the deals? I dunno. Or I'm maxed out on the gadget impulse buying. lol
Bought 1lb of Black Ops and Dominator, equated to free shipping after the discount. That is all I've pulled the trigger on.
Have a hunch cyber mon will be the same, weak like it has been the last couple of years.BrandonQuad Cities
