OT: Hiking across America, red all the way
Wow, check out this map. On the left hand side click on the county by county view. One could walk across the country from the Atlantic to the Pacific in several relatively straight lines never once stepping on blue.

I don't understand how they can say my home county (Macomb County Michigan) is a blue county. Detroit, I understand, however where I live, we are all red.

I don't think it says, but is this measuring % of residents with degrees (eg % of current population old enough to have had opportunity to get degree) or is this in some way measuring where people came from or where they got their degree? In Canada we have a third party we vote for when we're pissed. Not quite as good as a Declined Ballot but it works.
