What's the 'low down' on Brisket camp - is it a drunken party or can a guy bring his GF? Just wondering ...

    Yes
    +1.

Be careful though - we cooked a whole lamb on an open pit last year, which may not be for the squeamish.

NOLA proper is fine.  The flooding is west of Laplace to Baton Rouge.

While the flooding is devastating, it all took place well to the northwest of New Orleans.  I know @nolaegghead puts a lot of work - and money - into Brisket Camp and last year he got thrown a last minute curve ball on the location.  Hopefully he has time to do it again this year.

You can bring her, but no guarantees you will leave with her.  Nola drives a porche.

We basically act semi-civil during the day, then, at night, have drunken, naked brisket grease covered orgies until the police come.

If you are going to the trouble of having a brisket grease covered orgy, shouldn't you keep it going until everyone comes?

We will more than try.  I'm more than happy you'll be here - you were a rock star last year!  And your food was pretty damn good too. ;)

Ok, I'm starting the thread next couple days.  Let's get this culinary Fukushima started....
