I did indeed. It was as you said fantastic. Another that I tried that was incredible for the dollar, was Old Fitgerald Bottled in Bond. Which means it is from grain of one season, 100 proof, aged at least 4 years, from bourbon of only one distiller. It is a standard set to Federal Government guideines, established in the 1800s, to guarantee exceptional quality. It is supposedly gaining a major following by most bourbon snobs I know.stonewh said:

Lamenting the buffalo's return (must have had the week-end off) and strike down of the Boat and human art-work OT threads. But I will survive

Had the whole family together in Illinois tonight. These inch and a half thick ribeyes were on the menu for the evening meal. Forgot to take an after cook picture with the vultures circling the carrion.

@Ozzie_Isaac - congrats on the career move. Since you are writing the script here then I'm sure you have the lead story already primed. You guys have really helped him nail this steak thing. They were phenominal. I could only put away 1 and 1/2, sad to see scraps I didn't have space in my "cookie pouch" for.
Totally worth the meat sweats.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

I just signed up for a rib compeition this weekend that I have absolutely no idea what it's about. My friend sent me text message asking if I signed up for their grocery store rib compeition. He obviously knew I didn't know anything about the rib competition but knew me good enough that it didn't matter. $25 entry fee for two racks of ribs and a t-shirt. I couldn't resist. I have no idea what the purse is or if it's for charity but I do know it's sponsored by a brewery. Sounds like a win/win situation to me. I can't wait to tell my wife. She told me how excited she was last night to have an open weekend as the last 3-4 weekends have been packed with activities. Not anymore. Beer and bbq just filled up one of those days. Sweet!
