Fourth of July Throwdown

There's nothing like a good ol' Holiday Throwdown. Rules are simple:

1. Cook must occur (and post) Friday-Monday
2. Most likes wins a bottle of Sam's BBQ1 Pork or Beef Rub.
3. Max 4 pics.

I'll set up an official thread for food posts. Only postings there count.

Good luck boys and girls.

Does it have to be egged? I'm boiling and frying about 100 pounds of seafood.

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

    Status- Standing by.

If we can enter more than once, will you be checking the date stamp on pictures?  (I'm always looking for an angle to get free rub)

    Indianapolis, IN

BBQ is a celebration of culture in America. It is the closest thing we have to the wines and cheeses of Europe.

Drive a few hundred miles in any direction, and the experience changes dramatically.

Odds of me getting a free rub this weekend are zero...regardless of the throw down.  But the entry posts will likely be epic.  Game on.

@DoubleEgger "Max 4 pics"; is that total for the weekend or 4 pics/cook?  Just wondering as I am on the hook (no complaints) Fri-Mon.

Actually, ignore my questions. Chances of me being in any condition to take decent pics this weekend is slim to none.

I may have a chance in the early AM but the Sunday/Monday duo could be problematic.  Of course, I can't take a decent pic independent of the adult beverage induced skill-set.  But who knows...

Bonus points for using sauces/rubs acquired through the 2016 exchange?

    Just a thought.

This is turning into a Battle Royal.  I'm cooking tomorrow with @caliking, @20stone, and @The Cen Tex Smoker.

    Bring it.

Omaha! Omaha! I have decided to make a change to the prize. It's a rub OR a $20 gift certificate to Smokeware or Ceramic Grill Store. A lot of you might already be on rub overload now.

    Carry on.

Very cool.  And thanks DoubleEgger for putting this on.

As for my earlier post, I should clarify that a bunch of drunk guys sitting around a fire probably not even eating off plates are unlikely to bring much to this contest.  But it sure sounded good in my head when I wrote that trash talk.

Only thing is that the wing competition is the following weekend.  Otherwise, we'd definitely win @Jeremiah.   ;)
