We are up in CO visiting #1 son.  He turned 29 the other day, and @20stonespice and I splurged a bit.  Roast yard bird and grilled corn are on the menu.

Very nice. I've really enjoyed my MM so far. Before you head back to Texas give me a hollar. Maybe you could do me a favor and pick me up some things while your there. It's just some spices that cost more here locally.from what Ive heard you can buy bulk there, kinda like Sam's club.

@texaswig - look around for a natural grocers since you're in Texas. We have quite a few in Dallas and I've always found the herbs / spices to be extremely well priced

I have been sick as a dog for the past few days. It hit 100 degrees and I'm sick. Go figure.

The chicken turned out great, and the order for the indirect setup has been placed.  Bonus points, there are pigs there to eat the corn cobs

Great post. My father bought me my egg as a"first house" house warming gift. He has owned his large for close to 20 years. I paid it back a little when I bought a mini and quickly figured out it wasn't big enough for the family so I have it to him. He is in town for the next couple of days so I will try and show off the family egg tradition. I'm sure your son will take on the passion of cooking on the egg!

Nice! I like the setup - some work space, can set hot things on it, and it won't burn.

Now go visit the others, so you get them grandeggs too.
