color me ignorant, but I didn't even know they made cows with 30lb briskets...

Given your size, I can see this being a common theme across multiple species.

I look taller in the recent Space City Eggfest pics. I think I grew an inch or two.

There are some in here that would you to task over that. It's been fun though. Grims is on a truck and in looking for a box big enough for SGH.

A small piano crate would handle SGH's.  I'd suggest an RTIC cooler, but you couldn't get one before the brisket got freezer burn and it'd probably thaw out before it got there.   =)

You only look taller because you're not standing next to me.

If they have a general price list can you you ping me on the side?
Hope you have recovered from Space City Eggfest...Your group sure put out some outstanding samples.
They don't ship right now so it's all local pick up. He says most of the big cuts are $10 per lb and individual steaks are about $20 for 8-10 oz cuts. The big cuts are pretty cheap but that's pretty steep for the steaks. Considering he only has sirloin, flank, skirt, and hangar for the most part. He sells all his loins to the Driskill Hotel so there are very rarely any ribeyes or strips. I'll talk to him when I go out there today and see if I can get any more information. For now, it's a local pick up deal or I can ship them to you if you really want to try something.
Thank you. Just wanting an idea on price to compare to the other high end company we talk about on here.
Yea, the larger cuts are priced well. Does not surprise me that his smaller cuts are big bucks as I'm sure he can get primo prices at the Austin farmers market.
I will try and line up some stuff for my next run in the Austin Area.
    Thanks again...
He's 5 min from my house every Sunday at the farmers market. Let me know if you ever want me to grab and hold anything for you. I'll meet you whenever you come through.

    Holy sh*t.

I finally saw how big those monsters are in the pics. Its like someone made a beef raft for folks to sail on Lake Travis.

  • I filled the rest up with butcher paper, another piece of insulation and then shut it all in with an insulated top with 8.5 lb of fresh dry ice. Hope that gets it there in good shape. I imagine it will.

Is it the Hillary sticker? I thought if anyone would appreciate that it would be Scottie. Just happened to have an extra lying around

That was as much for you as Scottie. TFJ is a big Hillary fan so she gets all the swag. I figured she couldn't put it on my car if It was on Scotties box :). I don't have the hate for Hillary most on here do but I'm less than thrilled with all the candidates. I will have to hold my nose to pull the lever this year for sure.
