SV Angus Strips, Prosciutto wrapped Asparagus and Loaded Potato (pic heavy)
My first SV cook, I kept it basic. Bone in Angus strip SV at 122 with garlic and fresh thyme finished on CI. Russet at 400 indirect shmeared in bacon fat and salt, then loaded up by SWMBO. Prosciutto wrapped asparagus. Loved the control on temp with SV, the even cook and texture. Perfect for us. Thanks for looking!

I used two small cloves halved on the 2 steaks. Brother paq, it was perfect. Great garlic flavor in the steaks without any negative. Would recommend it. Given the small amount of garlic, the garlic flavor throughout was really good.paqman said:Nice! I usually avoid garlic when cooking sous vide; how was it?Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga -
What do you think about the Buffalo Trace? Got it and gave it half as a gag but I've found it to be very drinkable. Not Woodford or KC but really drinkable.DMW said:Yep, that'll work.Sandy Springs & Dawsonville Ga -
@pacman curious as to why no garlic? Almost threw some I with my broccoli tonight but was lazy.
