Thick Ribeyes

Publix had a couple of nice looking ribeyes on sale and I caved in. Did not anticipate they would be about a 1.5 pounds each cooked.
Pushed lump to the back of the XL and put the steaks on raised at 800 for 3 minutes a side. Basically bathing in the flames. Then put them off the direct and tried to tame the heat a little. Quite a number of minutes flipping and moving and they were done. Managed a decent compromise between my desire for somewhat rare and the The Spouse liking well done.
Just ate 9 oz of mine and she did about the same. Decided we can stand steak two days in a row, so the redo is tomorrow night.
