Tonight I thought I would try a vegetarian pizza and see how it turns out.

I started with my dough (metric measurements). This is the basic recipe adjust as needed.

500 grams "00" flour
325 grams water
10 grams salt
3 grams active dry yeast
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Turmeric powder(not necessary wife likes it)

I topped with mushrooms, onion, red peppers, black olives and I added three eggs during the cook.

Excellent!  Will have to try tumeric powder, that's a new one for me.

My ingredient list for vegetarian pies (I used to make a lot of them during the summer) includes:
    'shrooms,
    fresh Roma tomatoes,
    onions/garlic/green onions,
    mozz/parm/romano/gruyere,
    olive oil,
the most important: sliced-thin artichoke hearts!
then sprinkled with arugula the last 30 seconds or so.

    @Botch that sounds delicious.

I only add very little turmeric and the turmeric is a 50/50 mix with garlic powder and some black pepper mixed in. This mix is supposed to be good for you says my wife.

Do you add the seasonings right into the dough, or is it sprinkled on later?  Either way that's a good looking pie

@blind99  I add the spices to the flour and mix it in then add the water and make the dough like normal.

Very nice. That's the same recipe that forno bravo gives for dough with 00 flour. I use the same recipe and sub in AP flour when I don't have 00 and it works out well. I'll have to try adding the seasonings like you do.
