No prime rib, ham or turkey post. Chicken wings-do you prefer the drumettes or the flappers?

I much prefer the flappers-seems they finish with more moisture (inside) and a great surface to sauce area. Others?

Brother Cap, I will be the odd ball here. I prefer the flappers when frying and the drumettes when grilling.

Did not think I would see the day, but I disagree - the flappers are much easier to eat. (twist the nub end, pull out the bones and you have a chicken wing popper.....DMW said:Drumette guy here, easier to eat.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad! -
@SGH- You obviously have quite a collection of frying rigs. I have declared victory with frying and have moved on. But thanks for mixing it up

Flappers, unless I am trying to maintain some state of decorum. I'm a messy eater either way really...I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

Ok, I need to try this next time, if I can figure this out, might change everything. (well, at least my wing preference)Skiddymarker said:

Flappers here. Used to be drum guy. I have seen the light.

I prefer my wings whole. But will eat any and all segments happily. What offends me is advertising something like 50 cent wings then serving only a segment for that price.
